G'tumo Esoteric is a slightly different energy manipulation technique if compared to Reiki. The difference is that Reiki rely on relaxation while G'tumo Esoteric relies on the control of hope, besides that, energy manipulated through G'tumo Esoteric can be accumulated and stored within the body while energy manipulated using Reiki can only be channeled through and not stored.

Even though it can not yet be proven through historical data, based on tradition and legends, G'tumo Esoteric comes from the same roots with Reiki, from the Himalayan plateau, which now known as Tibet and Nepal. In fact, by comparing the technique, and the fact that Reiki was only spread in Japan in the 20th century, conclusion can be drawn that Reiki is actually G'tumo Exoteric, which is an earlier level of G'tumo, which consists of 3 levels: Exoteric, Esoteric and Mythic (due to misunderstandings, majority of people writes it as Mystic).

Exoteric is the technique to draw energy from surrounding nature based on acceptance and relaxation, and in practice utilizes affirmation and hand movements, which if compared with Reiki, is about 90 percent similar.

Esoteric is the technique to gather energy by utilizing hope (far different from the common inner energy practice which utilizes breathing).

Mythic, named as such because it has been a long time since anyone mastered it, perhaps over 1000 years; this level relies on extraordinary energy capacity, which according to legends, can only be possessed by one who have «received» lightning from the sky. Majority of westerners translates this level as «Mystic», a translation that has been somewhat mislead due to the influence of the fact that the majority of G'tumo practitioners in the Himalayan plateau are Buddhist priests of Tantra lineage and they tend to combine Esoteric technique with religious rituals and incantations to give the impression that they are «of higher level» from non priest Esoteric practitioners.
In depth research and review has been conducted by Waskita Reiki about this legend and after years of analyzing hundreds of painting, carving and ancient poetry, coupled with modern scientific fact, it can be concluded that this myth may quite well be true, even though it is also quite understandable that such level has not been mastered in 1000 years, because the prerequisite to «receive» lightning is such a high level of esoteric energy manipulation, to the point of able to produce fire from both palm and the crown chakra simultaneously, an ability that can only be obtained by serious practice for tens of years, which obviously not something that can be done my modern human with so many daily business. One thing for sure though, the original technique does not use any incantation, movement or prayers, instead purely relying on results of mental discipline practice of the practitioner.

Back to Esoteric level, on this level practitioner learns how to gather energy which may be transformed into heat or electricity (bio electric, not AC/DC). This allows practitioners to quickly improve clairvoyance ability, resist rather extreme hot and cold weather, as well as killing virus, bacteria and fungus in the blood stream.

In Waskita Reiki, to learn G'tumo Esoteric, a practitioner must first learn Reiki G'tumo (nota bene G'tumo Exoteric) to the personal mastery level (level III).
